Kat Powers, a Maine native, has been self employed in the home design industry since 1990. She has taught hundreds of home decorating classes on more than 2 dozen topics over her career. She has been featured in monthly shows on WCSH-TV and Fox 23. Since her divorce in 2005, Kat has been raising her two boys as a single mom. Prior, she had survived the tragic loss of a step daughter and was windowed at the age of 37. Her creativity is what saved her through those very difficult times and helped her with her own healing and recovery. Friends who know Kat will tell you that giving to others and helping folks less fortunate is part of her fabric. Many stories of random acts of kindness have followed her throughout the years. The spirit of giving to others through her given talent is now an unquenchable passion.
