Kat Powers

Executive Director

Kat Powers, a Maine native, has been self employed in the home design industry since 1990. She has taught hundreds of home decorating classes on more than 2 dozen topics over her career. She has been featured in monthly shows on WCSH-TV and Fox 23. Since her divorce in 2005, Kat has been raising her two boys as a single mom. Prior, she had survived the tragic loss of a step daughter and was windowed at the age of 37. Her creativity is what saved her through those very difficult times and helped her with her own healing and recovery. Friends who know Kat will tell you that giving to others and helping folks less fortunate is part of her fabric. Many stories of random acts of kindness have followed her throughout the years. The spirit of giving to others through her given talent is now an unquenchable passion.

Regal Naseef derived her nickname from her maiden name (Regelman). She is the Director of Development for The Iris Network serving the blind and visually impaired. She is also the owner of Regal Resource Development serving nonprofit clients with fundraising needs and also acts as a local coordinator for Greenheart, placing exchange students from around the world, with host families in Maine. She is on the board of directors for both Pihcintu, a multicultural girls chorus and Healing Spaces. She was a children's advocacy winner in Maine in 2006 for helping refugees from Kosovo in high school and beyond and she regularly supports a local Syrian refugee family. She holds both a bachelor's degree and master's degree from Ithaca College in Communication/Organization Development. Along with her husband, she raised two sons, Sam and Mike, in Maine, both of whom are living in New England.
